Rainbow’s End Theme Park have been named finalists in two categories in the 2015 Tourism Industry Awards.
Selected from over 100 entries, Rainbow’s End are finalists in both the Visitor Experience and Business Excellence Awards (annual turnover more than $6 million) categories. Chris Deere, Rainbow’s End CEO says, “being selected as a finalist in these two categories reflects the evolution and progress of the park over a number of years and recognises the dedication and commitment of our team in ensuring we deliver an outstanding visitor experience.”
The Awards were re-launched this year by the Tourism Industry Association to set a benchmark of excellence and celebrate success in New Zealand’s diverse tourism industry. Tourism is New Zealand’s second largest foreign exchange earner as well as supporting 8.3% of total employment. The industry Tourism 2025 growth framework has a goal of doubling the total tourism revenue to $41 billion a year by 2025.
Rainbow’s End have a nerve wracking wait until October 2nd when the winners are announced at a black-tie awards dinner.
